Nail Polish layering is trending all over the fashion world right now. It’s so basic and wonderful but how on earth did it take us so long to figure it out.
All it is is this; painting a two-coat manicure using two different polishes to create a new shade. It is all over the fall runways, but it’s not the kind of detail you can recognize, even from up close.
To give you an idea if this is for you here are the polish equations for three looks we loved.
A dark caramel, with a classic red, to create an earthy berry shade. A lot of girls know about doing it with a sparkle topcoat or some kind of twinkle, but mixing two creams can create a really cool custom color.
Tip; The second shade always has to be a little lighter or sheer to not cancel it out.
Purply-red for “after after hours.” Layered Morgan Taylor Nail Color in Take the Lead, a deep burgundy, and If Looks Could Thrill, a shimmery, gold-flecked purple.
